Mission

The mission of the South Texas Chapter is to provide education and advocacy for its members in order to deliver optimal care of the surgical patient in South Texas.

Vision

The vision of the South Texas Chapter is to improve quality of care through enhancing surgical education, providing a forum for young surgeons, advocating for the optimal surgical practice, fostering communication with all fellows and to support the goals of the American College of Surgeons.

History

The South Texas Chapter of the American College of Surgeons was established on October 16, 1970. We would like to invite you to become a member of one of the most active state chapters. Our mission is to improve quality of care through enhancing surgical education, maintenance of competency, providing a forum for young surgeons and fostering communication with all fellows and to support the goals of the American College of Surgeons It’s your membership that will continue to let the Chapter focus on important issues facing South Texas surgeons.
